Scott Meehan is an associate with Patterson Thuente IP focusing on life sciences, medical devices, and technology areas related to his background in biochemistry.
Scott has valuable industry experience as a lab technician for 3M Company. There, he assisted in the development of filtration systems and industrial cooling tower applications. He also worked in-house as a patent agent and law clerk in 3M’s HealthCare Business Group where he managed a docket and assisted the 3M legal team.
He has nearly three years of experience working as a patent agent handling a wide variety of prosecution matters ranging from application and appeal brief drafting to domestic and foreign Office Action responses. During law school, Scott completed the Minnesota Justice Foundation’s law School Public Service Program. The program is designed to promote “an ethic of public service in Minnesota law students and increase the availability of legal services to clients with limited access to justice.”
Outside the office, Scott is a fan of all Minnesota sports teams.
