Paul Haun focuses his practice on the procurement of both domestic and international intellectual property rights for his clients. Beyond patent and trademark prosecution and interfacing with the USPTO, Paul is skilled in evaluating new disclosures and counseling clients on their ability to secure new intellectual property rights and avoid infringing on the rights of others. Experience with a wide range of industries enhances Paul’s ability to analyze clients’ business goals and provide strategic advice relative to the competitive landscape in which they operate.
Paul joined Patterson Thuente in 2001 as part of our intellectual law clerk program. Prior to joining the firm, Paul gained valuable technical and industry experience. He spent three years working for a manufacturer of commercial and industrial fluid purification equipment, followed by four years at a thermal-processing equipment manufacturing company. In his positions, he was exposed to the needs and nuances of a large variety of commercial and industrial customers in industries such as medical device, pharmaceuticals, automotive, beverage, aerospace and electronics.
