IP Projects Paralegal Assistant

Patterson Thuente IP is looking for an IP Project Paralegal Assistant to work in its downtown Minneapolis office in the IDS Center. 

The IP Project Paralegal Assistant will work closely with the Practice Support Manager, Lisa Dawn Gentry, to assist paralegals and attorneys with various aspects of the team’s IP work and to provide support for other projects and matters as required from time to time. 

Ideal candidates must possess experience supporting IP prosecution teams. 

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in US and non-US patent prosecution, and PCT national stage filings experience is desired
  • Ability to work independently and assist with meeting critical deadlines under supervision of an attorney and/or Practice Support Manager
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills to successfully communicate and follow instructions and to provide information with professionalism, courtesy and tact
  • Must possess and work comfortably with advanced computer software and effectively use and maintain a document management system
  • A high level of responsibility, dedication and accuracy will be required
  • Communication skills that will inspire the confidence of our team
  • A strong commitment to client and team service
  • The ability to work well both independently and with others, and reinforce our collaborative culture
