Patterson Thuente IP is pleased to announce the addition of Kim Jordahl to its full-service team of intellectual property (IP) law professionals.
With over 25 years of experience in IP law, Kim brings deep knowledge of the field and a practice that includes utility and design patent drafting and prosecution, portfolio management, copyright registration, freedom-to-operate analysis, and opinion and agreement work for both domestic and international Fortune 50 clients.
“Kim has exceptionally managed both large and small IP portfolios in both private and in-house practice,” said Tom Dickson, the CEO and managing partner of Patterson Thuente IP. “Adding this experience to our prosecution practice will benefit both our clients and the rest of our legal team.”
Kim’s legal career began in private practice while attending William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, MN. After gaining experience at large and small IP boutiques and a large general practice firm, Kim served as Associate General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for The Pillsbury Company (now a subsidiary of General Mills). In this role, Kim managed a global patent and trade secret portfolio, and all agreements involving intellectual property.
From 2007 to 2021, Kim operated a solo practice where she successfully represented large privately held and Fortune 50 international companies.
Kim will serve as Of Counsel with Patterson Thuente IP.
