Kim Jordahl is a patent attorney with more than 25 years of experience in intellectual property law. Serving as Of Counsel with Patterson Thuente IP, Kim brings a deep knowledge of IP Law and a practice that includes utility and design patent drafting and prosecution, portfolio management, copyright registration, freedom-to-operate analysis, and opinion and agreement work for both domestic and international Fortune 50 clients.

Professional Experience

Kim’s legal career began in private practice while she attended law school.  After gaining experience at large and small IP boutiques and a large general practice firm, Kim served as Associate General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for The Pillsbury Company. In this role, Kim managed a global patent and trade secret portfolio, and all agreements involving intellectual property. Kim returned to private practice thereafter and started a solo practice in 2007 that successfully represented large privately held and Fortune 50 companies international corporations until 2021.

When she’s not working, you can find Kim on the Peloton® leaderboard (catch her, if you can – KimInChatty), reading, knitting, spending time outside in the beautiful Tennessee mountains with her five Great Danes, or volunteering with her beloved dogs at local hospitals and senior centers.
